In this class, you’ll be guided step by step as you create your very own leather-bound journal, complete with decorative braid stitching and deckle-edged paper. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a beautiful handmade notebook — and quite possibly a brand-new hobby

We will start with a general intro to the various bookbinding styles, tools and materials.

Using a press, stamps and hammer, we will select a brass / metal stamps to be embossed onto the covers.

After piercing the flded sections, we will Use waxed thread and a needle, we will stitch the sections together.

The last step is binding the book covers together with the first and last sectons.
